Hello Everyone,
Well, twice in one week (almost!) !! After
ToyBoy's personal problems of the past week or so (for
which, even though outside of his control he apologizes
profusely!), we thought it was prudent to get back on
track !
Oh,
and announce the WINNER and RESULTS of our Inaugural
Banner Competition !
Not
so fast... results and winner are down below :-)
Thanks to all entrants and also thanks for your patience
during the delays.
As
you have all been told in previous updates, CuriousTim
and CuriousToyBoy will be gracing the Florida Internext
convention with their presence from 13 to 15 August and
will then be heading around the globe to visit a few
others after the show, and WebmasterDan will be taking
some well earned time off with his family, so there will
be an update next week, but the NO updates until the 1st
week of September.
That
doesn't mean things will not be happening during that
time (in fact nothing could be further from the truth!),
but we will be working remotely so getting a meaningful
update to you during that time is just not feasible.
Of
course, should anything important arise, we will get a
special update out to you all, but in the meantime, you
can look forward to next week, and then a HUGE update in
the 1st week of September.

We were hoping to have
some good news for you on the gay and straight dating
sites this week.
Unfortunately, we have had
some major issues with billing integration to ensure
that these sites are part and parcel of the Curious Cash
Program.
WebmasterDan has busted a
nut trying to work with the processors to get this
working, and of course we will not release this to you
until we are 110% sure it is all tracking and working.
Dan continues to code away
madly and work with the processors to get this right and
we are really trying our best to launch these into the
program next week.

WEBMASTER BOARD STARTS TO TAKE SHAPE
With
all of the dramas of the past couple of weeks we have
not made as much progress on our new webmaster board as
we would have liked.
The
board is taking shape, we have a bunch of moderators in
place and things are starting to come together - but want
more moderators - so email us and put your hand up !
You might even get some ad space in return.
The
whole point of our new board is it will NOT be run by us
for the Curious Cash Program, it will be a multi-forum
board with specific skills and experience represented in
highly specific topic forums. This is a resource for
all, not just for us.
On that
direction, we already have over 20 moderators in a bunch
of different forums, and unlike some other boards, we do
NOT want this board to be "owned" by specific people with
their specific personalities - this is a board by the
people for the people, whatever you areas of interest may
be.
To be a
moderator you do NOT have to be a full blown expert and we
do NOT expect some huge commitment - we are looking for
MULTIPLE moderators in all forums, so even if are not
sure, hit us up today!!! |

development stages of a content selling site. With
over 200 exclusive models on our books and with such
constant demand from others for our content (which we do
NOT sell or lease), there is a definite need for us to
shoot our models for the specific needs of others on a
contract basis. Our sites will remain 100% exclusive

How Should I
Approach Attending Internexxt ?
With Florida Internexxt only a mere 2
weeks away, we thought some salient points from the
Netpond Webmasters Board, as written by
XXXPhoto of InterSmart would be good timing.
We all know that networking generally, and especially
Tradeshows are a sound investment for any
business - but it is MOST
important to make the most of it:
- Research the companies/people
you want to meet and get their booth info. Write it
down. Go to their websites, contact them via email,
introduce yourself and mention that you look forward to
speaking to them at the show. This prepares an
opportunity for you to introduce yourself in person at
the show, giving the company representative some recent
memory on which to hang your identity.
- Prepare your questions. Pay
attention to answers. Take notes. By demonstrating that
you are prepared, you create a positive impression. Pay
interest to what the vendor is saying and make that
positive impression grow. It isn't just the booth
jockies doing the selling, you are selling yourself as
well as your sites.
- Don't eat alone. You have all
morning to find someone to invite to lunch, network, and
get to know better. You'll benefit from this one on one
business lunch more than you would just chatting at a
booth. Be relaxed, courteous, and professional. Show
some gratitude to your lunch guest(s) for sharing their
time and interest in you by picking up the check. |

WHY DOGS
ARE SMART
One fine day there was a dog who got
out of his owner's yard and found himself at the start
of the deep jungle.
Being a dog, he wanted to explore,
because he was never allowed by his owner to leave the
house and go near the foreboding jungle beyond.
So the dog starts chasing
butterflies. Before long
he discovers that he is lost, so he
starts to wander around trying to work out where he is.
As he wandered
about he noticed a leopard
heading rapidly in his direction with the obvious
intention of having lunch.
The dog thinks, "Boy, I'm in deep doo-doo
now." (He *was*
an Irish setter obviously)....
Then he noticed some bones on the ground close by, and
immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his
back to the approaching cat.
Just as the leopard is about to leap, the dog exclaims
loudly, "Man, that was one delicious leopard. I wonder if
there are any more around here?"
Hearing this the leopard halts his attack in mid stride,
as a look of terror comes over him, he
slinks away into the trees.
Whew", says the leopard. "That was close. That dog nearly
had me."
Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene
from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to
good use and trade it for protection from the leopard.
So, off goes the monkey in hot pursuit
of the leopard - but the dog saw him heading after
the leopard with great speed, and figured that something
must be up.
The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the
beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard. The
cat is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here
monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to
that conniving canine."
Now the dog sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his
back, and thinks," What am I going to do now?
The doo-doo just got MUCH deeper !"
Instead of running
away, the dog sits down again to
the pile of bones with his back to his attackers
and pretends
he hasn't seen them yet, and waits for
the leopard and monkey to get close enough to hear him.
"Where's that goddamn monkey!!!
I just can never trust him. I sent him off
over half an hour ago to bring
me another leopard, and he's still not back!!"
